Hi party people,

I hope everyone made it home safely last night during the torrential downpour!  Tonight is FUN night at the pool.  We were thinking since a lot of the older kids only swam one or two races, that we would just continue the meet tonight.  I have combined the girls with the boys and taken out the coaches' events (with the exception of Jack's events) and whittled it down to just ten or eleven events.  With that few events, we can knock it out within an hour, or that is the goal.  I need at least six volunteer timers, two place judges, and a starter.  Mariah and I figured this would be fabulous practice and fun too.  We will be timing and recording the times so that the swimmers can compare this week to next week to track improvement.  We will be doing placement but only for the fun of it and for their benefit.  No ribbons will be awarded based on tonight's results, however they will receive popsicles and ribbons after the mock meet.

If you have a 5-6 year old, they will be given popsicles first and have free swim during this time.  If I could get a couple of parent volunteers to hand out the popsicles and keep an eye on the younger ones, that would be great. They may want to stay at the upper pool and route for their older siblings/friends etc.

So tonight looks like this:

5:30p 4 year old practice

6-7:30p Everyone comes for FUN night

6-7p (7-8 year, 9-10 year, 11+ year old finish the meet), (5-6 year old get popsicles and free swim)

7-7:30p (popsicles and ribbons handed out for everyone)

We will resume normal practice tomorrow, so if you decide not to attend tonight, just send me a quick text or email.  By the way, if you didn't attend last night's meet, you will have free swim regardless of your age.  The reason being I don't have place cards for you.
