Loch Highland Lakers

We expect practices to begin on May 11. The first day of practice will be all-ages at 6:00 pm. It will be a dry land practice.

Monday - Friday of every week during our season
Ages 5-8 5:30pm - 6:15pm
Ages 9+ 6:30pm - 7:15pm

If severe weather (thunder and lightning) is expected to disrupt practice, a SwimTopia notification will be sent out by 4:30 pm to inform you that practice is being canceled. Please make sure your contact info is updated in SwimTopia.

• We do swim in the rain! Please attend practice as usual unless you hear otherwise from the coaches or coordinators.
• If we hear thunder during practice or during a swim meet, all swimmers must get out of the pool and cannot return to the pool until 30 minutes after the last thunder has been heard.
• If lightning is spotted, everyone must leave the pool deck until 30 minutes after the last thunder is heard.

• The lower pool and pool deck will be closed to the swim team for safety and liability reasons. This includes before and between practices. This is a Loch Highland HOA rule.
• Team suits are not required for practices. Goggles are recommended and caps are optional (but recommended!) for practice.
• Parents should stay off of the upper pool deck during practice. You can drop kids off or hang out.
• Behavior and acting up - the coaches will handle this when it occurs during practice. It is expected that the kids listen when the coaches are talking, no running on the pool deck, and no horseplay during swim practice.
• Bathrooms are located in the clubhouse. If a child needs to go to the restroom during practice, they can.

• Coaches are available to answer questions before and after practices. Please don't interrupt the coaches while practice is in session.
• Coaches may be available for private swim lessons.
