2021 Swim Season Details
May 18th
Hi Lakers,
Thank you for joining our team. Below is the information that was discussed at the parent meeting during our first practice. I hope it answers all of the questions you may have, but please feel free to email or call either me or Kelly if you have additional questions.
Practices:
- Tuesday, May 18 is Dry Land - wear sneakers and bring water; practice times are according to age groups: 4yo at 5:30, 5-8yo at 6:00, and 9+ at 6:45
- Memorial Day - there will be no practice
Swim Attire:
- All swimmers must wear tight fitting suits. No rash guards or shirts, and no board shorts.
- Caps are mandatory
- Goggles are mandatory
- Hand-me-down suits - if you have team suits from past seasons that you'd like to give to a younger swimmer, please bring them tonight.
- Team suits are not mandatory, but they are encouraged. They can be purchased at All American Swim, 885 Woodstock Rd, Unit 400, Roswell, GA 30075, 770-440-9870
Questions for Coaches:
- Before and after practice, the coaches are available to answer questions
- Never interrupt the coaches while practice is in session
- Behavior and acting up - the coaches will handle this when it occurs during practice. Please allow the coaches to do handle it without interrupting.
- Potty breaks - if a child needs to go potty during practice, parents can take them if they need help.
Pool Etiquette:
- NO GLASS at the pool
- No clorox wipes should be used on the pool furniture
- Clean up all trash around you before you leave
- Put all chairs and tables back in their places before you leave
Swim Meets:
- Swim Meets will be Thursday nights, June 3, 10, 17, 24, and July 1
- Swimmers will need to be at the pool from approximately 5pm-9pm on swim meet nights. Exact details will be established and communicated a week prior to the first meet.
- One parent from each family should plan to work a shift during each meet. A shift will be approximately 1.5 hours (no longer than 2 hours), either the first half of the meet or the second half.
- There will be NO CONCESSIONS during swim meets. You may bring food with you or have food delivered to the pool during meets, however.
Inclement Weather:
- If severe weather is expected to disrupt practice, an email notification will be sent out by 4pm to inform you that practice is being canceled.
- If we hear thunder during practice or during a meet, all swimmers must get out of the pool and cannot return to the pool for 30 minutes
- If lightening is spotted, everyone must leave the pool deck until 30 minutes after the last thunder is heard
